“Live music is visual.”
In this project Ruth Montgomery invites artists Rubbena and Lisa into interpreting the sounds, the emotions, the ideas from Mozart’s ‘Opus KV285 in D major for flute and strings’ onto canvas.
Ruth, playing with the string quartet, the video is a resulting artwork in direct response to the feelings experienced by the artists, whether you have hearing or not. Live music is a visual, the expressions of musicians are on display – by being close to them is an effective way to appreciate music.
